The Department of Behavioural Sciences consists of Department members with expertise in Psychiatry and Behavioural Sciences. This is an aspect of Medical Science where skills are applied to prevent, unravel or treat psychosocial disorders. The Department is involved in the teaching and training undergraduate students for the MB; BS program. The training program will include lectures and tutorials for both preclinical and clinical students. The clinical students will in addition be expected to go through the various clinical activities of the department like attendance at clinics, ward rounds, etc..
The department is committed to the University’s mission of teaching, learning, research and community development services in the field of Medical Sciences. It is aimed at producing world class doctors using the principles of student-centered, problem solving and integrated learning methods of the College Health Sciences, University of Ilorin.
